Who we are

otherwear is a trading name of Senith Sumanasiri, a sole trader based in the UK.

The club

• The club has 150 spots. Each spot is for one person and one payment card.
• Roughly every 3 months we release a new world: a 50ml eau de parfum with its case, art, stickers and one extra item. Worlds are only made for members and are not sold anywhere else.
• When all 150 spots are taken, you can join the waitlist with just your email. No card is taken. If a spot opens, we email the next person on the waitlist, and hold the spot for them for 48 hours. If they don't join in that time, it goes to the next person.
• The club opens once 50 people have joined. If that doesn't happen, we'll close it, delete your card from our payment provider and nobody is charged.

Payment

• Joining is a subscription. When you join we save your card with Stripe, our payment provider. Nothing is charged when you join.
• For each world we charge £68, including UK delivery, when that world goes into production.
• We'll email you at least 7 days before each charge, with the date your bottle should arrive. If you don't want that world, tell us before the charge date and we won't charge you.
• If you cancel after being charged but before your bottle has been posted, we'll refund you in full.
• If a charge fails, we'll email you to update your card. If it still can't be taken, we may give your spot to the next person on the waitlist.
• If the price ever changes, we'll tell you before the next world, and you can leave before being charged.

Leaving the club

You can leave at any time. Reply to any of our emails or write to hello@otherwear.store. Once you've left, we won't charge you again, and your spot goes to the next person on the waitlist.

Returns

You have 14 days from receiving a world to tell us you want to return it, under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations. Returned perfume must be unopened and still sealed, for hygiene reasons. We'll refund you within 14 days of getting it back. If anything arrives damaged or wrong, email us and we'll sort it.

Safety

Every world is made in the UK, safety assessed and notified under UK cosmetics rules. The full ingredient and allergen list is on each box. Stop using it if it irritates your skin. Keep it away from flames, because perfume is flammable.

Your data

• What we keep: your email, your member number, your delivery details once we ask for them, and a record of the card type and last 4 digits.
• Your card: Stripe stores it. We never see or keep your full card number. See Stripe's privacy policy.
• What we use it for: running your membership, sending your worlds, and emailing you about the club. We don't sell or share your data with anyone else.
• How long: while you're a member, plus up to 6 years afterwards for tax records.
• Your rights: you can ask us for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing hello@otherwear.store. You can also complain to the ICO.
• We use a Cloudflare bot check when you join, to stop bots taking spots. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
